okay LJ, why have you just vanished half my flist entries? I don't like that at all. Bring them back at once!

(Is it just me? What is going on? 0_o)

ETA: One thing just came back now. *baffled*

At least one of mine has vanished too! (Or never showed up; I only know it should be there because it's in a community I track.) ARGH LJ.

ETA and now this post has vanished from my flist. *headdesk*

Yes, I've only just seen your post at all - and my previous one vanished and then came back. It seems to be okay now, as far as I can tell. Weird.

I posted this about two hours or so ago - all the missing entries seem to be back on my flist now, so hopefully it was a weird bug and they fixed it. *crosses fingers*

I don't know how you can tell - but then I don't get how anyone can keep track of anything on their LJ friends list - I'd be lost without RSS.

Well, I looked at it, clicked on an entry to reply to something - and when I came back stuff had gone! 0_o

But then I'm on LJ a lot at the moment - once I get back to having more to do in rl again, I daresay I wouldn't be so quick to spot it. Although I would if it happened like that and one of the posts that vanished was my own. Makes it obvious.

They can? I think it might have been default at some times of creating journals, and not at others. If yours don't show up on your flist and you want them to, you can go to the "edit friends" page and add yourself via the "friend a person or people" batch functionality there.

I like to have my posts on my friends page because I have a bad memory and it gives me a benchmark for whether posts I don't quite remember are new or not. ;P Also because it lets me see easily whether my LJ-cuts are working, which clicking directly to the entry doesn't.

I don't think I've ever seen one of my entries on my friends list, but it's been years since I read it, so I could be wrong.

I have the RSS feed of my blog in my RSS reader so I can check it's there :)
