Obscure & British Comment Fest

Welcome to the Obscure & British comment fest! This is a comment fest for any small(ish) British fandom and open to any kind of fanwork.

If you've ever loved any (non-large) British fandoms, find yourself too obscure for most fests, or you're busy wondering why there's still no Emma Peel in all this Avengers stuff, you're in the right place. Come on in and help yourself to a cup of tea and a crumpet. Also you should make prompts and fill them.

Rules & Guidelines
This comment!fest works in the same way as most comment ficathons - although all kinds of fanworks are definitely welcome here. (Fanart, icons, fanmixes, vids, whatever your creative mind can come up with.)

1. Be polite - no bashing of anyone, any prompts, characters, ships or fandoms! Thank you.
2. One prompt per post, please use format: Fandom, Character/Pairing, prompt.
3. Post fills as replies (or links) to the comment containing the prompt. Please format the subject line as follows: Fandom - Character/Pairing - Rating/Warnings (if needed). There's a fills thread at the start of the post. Please also link your fill here.
4. You may fill your own prompts if you wish. Multiple fills are allowed - even encouraged, especially in different formats.
5. For crossovers any fandom is allowed as long as the first fandom qualifies. (If it's a cracky multi-fandom crossover prompt, that's fine, too, though try and make sure there are always equal or more eligible fandoms in proportion to those that are non-eligible.)
6. Any other questions - there's a questions thread at the start of the post.
7. Prompt, fill, away!

Eligible Fandoms
Basically, any non-large British fandom at all! You can prompt for anything that fits, no matter how odd, old or obscure, or shiny and new - anything that's not on the below list is great.

Non-eligible fandoms
ALL non-British fandoms are ineligible (except as crossovers) and the following fandoms are British but too large and therefore ineligible for this fest (sorry):

Chronicles of Narnia, Doctor Who (2005+), Downton Abbey, Good Omens, Harry Potter, The Hobbit (all), James Bond (Craig!Bond films only), Lord of the Rings (all), Merlin, Primeval, Robin Hood (BBC), Sherlock (BBC), Sherlock Holmes (all), The Silmarillion, Skins (UK), Torchwood, and any post-2000 Actor RPF or Bandom/Musician RPF.

So - anything British not listed above: British TV, films, books, Historical events, plays, songs, radio dramas, folklore & mythology, anthropomorphic - it's all good. There's no closing date for prompts or fills.

If you want to promote the fest, then thank you! Please do. You can find a selection of banners here, or feel free to make your own.

Juliet and Peter are staring at a painting of cats drowning in a purple sea, at least, he thinks that's what it's supposed to be, he doesn't need to understand abstract art to recognise talent, and the artist is definitely that; the gallery is abuzz this opening night. Everything's running smoothly. Across the room he watches as Peter murmurs something in Juliet's ear that makes her duck her head and swallow a grin, something irreverent, Mark'd wager.

Swallowing the last of the wine in his glass Mark hands it to a passing waiter and makes his way through the crowd, pausing for a word here and there with people who want to compliment him on the event, or on his find, because those who pay attention know it was Mark who discovered the artist, made her famous. Not soon enough he's able to slip up behind Juliet and Mark now staring, apparently wordlessly, at a portrait of what Mark is nearly sure is a medieval knight riding a giraffe, their heads tilted towards each other intimately. Mark embraces them both exuberantly, an arm slung around both their waists, and they draw apart just enough so that he's between them, and they're looking at him, their smiles warm and welcoming and Mark kisses Juliet on the cheek and then Peter, openly, as though it's no big deal, and it isn't really, is it, a kiss on the cheek, especially here, in this world, the art world, his world.

Juliet's arm steals around his waist, and Peter drops an arm across his shoulders. Peter leans in, like he had with Juliet earlier, all hot breath and lips just brushing Mark's ear, and Mark shivers at the electric thrill of it as Juliet smirks at him. "How soon can we get out of here?" Peter murmurs, and there's nothing subtle about Peter, not about this.

"Philistine," Mark smiles at Juliet, because it'll be hours before it winds down, and then Peter's teeth catch Mark's earlobe, just for a second and Christ, Peter knows what that does to Mark, but they're in public, and he really should be mingling; he should tell them to go on without him. But Juliet's watching them, Peter's head still bent close to Mark's, too intimate, and there's a pink tinge to her cheeks now, and when she says 'let's go home', Mark knows what that means - he hardly ever goes back to his own flat now, most of his clothes, his CDs and videos and books have found their way over to Peter and Juliet's.

"Home," Peter echoes, and Mark can hear the smile in his voice, and for a moment Mark can't breathe because the two of them, god, how did he get this lucky, and he wants nothing more than to go with him but - "Ellie can finish up here," Peter points out, with a nod of his head. Mark follows his gaze and his assistant's talking to one of the caterers, but she gives him a nod of acknowlegment, and she's more than capable, so, "Yeah, okay," Mark says, "home," and both their arms tighten around him, just for a moment.

And later, with Juliet curled into his side, her hair tickling his nose, and Peter's arm heavy and possessive across his stomach, Mark knows that he is happy, more than that, for the first time ever, really, he is content.

Hope this is okay. I can delete if not. It's a song by a relatively unknown London based singer and the video has a story to it.

Football Song, Matt/Johnny, does Johnny ever come out to his friends.
